POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, today visited the revered Ram Kund Temple located in the Chajjla village of the Mendhar sub-division. During the visit, DC was accompanied by SDM Mendhar, Imran Kataria; CMO Poonch, Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan; Tehsildars Rahul Basotra and Maroof along with other officials. During the visit, Deputy Commissioner Kundal paid his respects at the temple, offering prayers and extending his wishes for peace and prosperity in the region.
The Deputy Commissioner interacted with the temple management committee, which presented various demands, seeking road improvements and basic civic facilities. In response, he directed the concerned to prioritize the resolution of these issues to enhance the experience for devotees and preserve the cultural heritage of the area.
This visit highlights the administration's commitment to improving facilities at the temple, ensuring a better experience for both devotees and visitors. The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the tourist facilities enroute to assess the feasibility of developing the area as a tourist circuit.
