SRINAGAR: The Indian Army proudly announces the successful accomplishment of a motorcycle expedition to commemorate Rajat Jayanti of Kargil Vijay Diwas. This expedition was organized as a prelude to the Rajat Jayanthi Kargil Vijay Diwas celebration.  Indian Army personnel from across the nation embarked on a journey to remember the valour of our brave soldiers.

The expedition aimed to pay homage to Veer Naris, Kargil Awardees and Veterans and also organized several events at various locations along the entire route. Motorcycle Teams from different regions of the country converged at National War Memorial, New Delhi before flagged off by COAS on two separate routes to Dras.  One route led from New Delhi through Jammu via Zozila to Dras, while the other passed through Chandigarh, Nothing Pass and Leh before reaching Dras.

The highlight of the expedition was the Flagging-In-ceremony at the Kargil War Memorial, where the teams were honoured by distinguished Chief Guest, General Officer Commanding-In-Chief, Northern Command at Kargil War Memorial as a tribute to Kargil War Heroes and interacted with the war veterans and Veer Naris. This expedition not only commemorated the sacrifices of our brave soldiers but also symbolized the spirit of unity and resilience of the Indian Army.
