UDHAMPUR: As part of the ongoing Good Governance Week, the Jammu & Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (JKKVIB) Udhampur on Wednesday organised a one-day district-level awareness programme at Block Khoon.

The event aimed to generate awareness about the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and the J&K Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) being implemented by JKKVIB. The schemes offer financial assistance to unemployed youth and artisans for establishing their own businesses and manufacturing units.

The programme was attended by Director RSETI, Lead District Manager SBI, Branch Manager J&K Bank Khoon, Ex-Sarpanchs and Panches and a large number of unemployed youth from the area.

District Officer J&K KVIB, Yogesh Joshi welcomed all the participants and provided in-depth knowledge about the scope of schemes being implemented by J&K KVIB. He explained in detail the eligibility, documents required and the application filing process for seeking financial assistance under the twin schemes.
