GANDERBAL: Continuing its sustained efforts under the “Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan”, J&K Police organized a series of drug awareness programmes across various educational institutions in the district Ganderbal to educate youth about the harmful effects of substance abuse.

Awareness programmes were conducted at Riyaan Public School, Baba Wayil, Government High School Shallabugh and Shaheen Public School, Manigam, where students and staff actively participated. The main event was held at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), Shuhama, where officers from Ganderbal Police addressed the gathering and highlighted the grave consequences of drug abuse. They urged students to stay away from drugs and become ambassadors of a drug-free society.

During these programmes, participants were sensitized about the ill effects of narcotics, legal implications under NDPS Act, and the importance of collective responsibility in eradicating the menace of drugs from society. Police reiterated its commitment towards building a safer and drug-free society and appealed to the general public, especially the youth, to join hands in this noble cause.
