AWANTIPORA: Police in Awantipora organised Cybercrime Awareness Programmes at various locations to educate the general public, especially students, about cyber threats and safe online practices.

In Awantipora, the programme was organised under the supervision of SHO Police Station Awantipora, Inspector Ajaz Hmad. Teachers and students participated enthusiastically in the programme. Similarly, in Pampore, a cyber awareness programme was conducted under the supervision of SHO Police Station Pampore, Inspector Khalid Fayaz, wherein participants were sensitised about cyber frauds, online safety, and responsible use of social media platforms.

During the programmes, the officers advised participants to avoid sharing OTPs, passwords, or bank details, remain cautious during online financial transactions, and refrain from interacting with unknown persons on social media. Emphasis was also laid on secure browsing habits and reporting cyber incidents promptly. Participants appreciated the initiative of J&K Police for organising such informative programmes aimed at safeguarding citizens from cybercrimes.
