ANANTNAG: Police in Anantnag, under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), organized a Drug Awareness Programme at Seer Hamdan with the objective of sensitizing the local population about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the collective responsibility of society in combating this menace.

In continuation of these efforts, another Drug Awareness Programme was held at Town Hall Achabal, which witnessed active participation from civil society members, students, and representatives of various community groups. The programme served as a platform to engage youth and community stakeholders in meaningful dialogue on the dangers of substance abuse and the importance of preventive measures.

Speakers at both events emphasized the need for strong community‑police cooperation, early intervention, and awareness campaigns to safeguard the younger generation from the threat of drugs. Participants expressed their commitment to support ongoing initiatives and pledged to work together towards building a drug‑free society.

J&K Police reaffirmed its dedication to continue such outreach programmes under CAP, aimed at strengthening community bonds and promoting a healthier, safer environment for all.
