JAMMU: The Indian Institute of Management Jammu  in collaboration with Department of Public Enterprises concluded the three-day Management Development Programme (MDP) “Generative AI (GenAI) Fundamentals for Leaders”, held from September 16–18, 2026, at Nyay Classroom, Academic Block, IIM Jammu. The training program consisted of 28 participants from across India

The programme was designed to provide participants with a holistic understanding of Generative AI, covering key technological aspects and their evolving applications in leadership and organisational contexts. The sessions enabled participants to understand how Generative AI is moving from emerging technology to a practical enabler for organisations and how leaders can leverage it effectively.

During the valedictory ceremony, Dr. Eshika Aggarwal, Program Director, presented the programme report, highlighting the key learning areas covered over the three days. She noted that the programme offered participants a comprehensive perspective on the evolving GenAI landscape and its practical relevance. She also expressed gratitude to the Chairperson, EE&C, IIM Jammu, and the Institute leadership for their support in successfully conducting the programme.

Participants shared their reflections, describing the programme as “very enriching and energetic” and appreciating the engaging sessions and learning environment. They also expressed interest in a future edition of the programme, particularly with greater focus on the application of Generative AI in areas such as marketing. One participant remarked that the three-day programme provided valuable learning while reflecting the strong spirit of IIM Jammu.

Addressing the participants, Dr. Prashant Mishra, Chairperson, EE&C, IIM Jammu, shared his experiences and emphasised the importance of continuously revisiting and updating one's knowledge in a rapidly evolving technological environment. He encouraged participants to sustain the learning momentum, exchange success stories and continue sharing their experiences beyond the programme.

The valedictory ceremony also featured the distribution of certificates to the participants upon completion of the programme. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. Sakthi Nagara. T, Program Director, who acknowledged the contributions and support of all those involved in making the programme a grand success. The ceremony concluded with the National Song and National Anthem, marking the culmination of the three-day learning programme.
