DODA: Arrangements have been made across Doda district for the Pulse Polio immunisation drive scheduled for 28 June. A total of 507 Pulse Polio booths have been established, besides 22 additional booths for children in higher reaches and nomadic areas. 1,014 vaccination teams, comprising 2,028 health workers and 101 supervisors, have been deployed for the programme.

Chief Medical Officer Dr Vinod Sharma has appealed to all parents and guardians to participate in the campaign and ensure that every child aged zero to five years is brought to the nearest Pulse Polio booth for administration of polio drops.

Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Sat Lal Manhas has urged community leaders, PRI members, religious leaders, teachers and mediapersons to spread awareness and motivate parents to bring their children for vaccination, so that every eligible child is covered to keep the district polio-free.
