SHOPIAN: Police in Shopian organised a one-day Capacity Building Programme for drivers deployed on police vehicles at the District Training Centre (DTC) DPL Shopian, with the objective of enhancing their driving skills, discipline, professionalism and operational efficiency.
The programme covered various important aspects, including safe driving practices, conduct and discipline, vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations, accident response, maintenance of log books and the vital role of police drivers in ensuring effective policing. Special emphasis was laid on adherence to traffic rules, defensive driving techniques, regular vehicle inspection, proper documentation and professional conduct while performing official duties.
The programme witnessed active participation from the nominated drivers, who interacted with the resource persons and gained valuable insights to enhance their professional competence and preparedness.
