SAMBA: The Red Ribbon Club of Government Degree College (GDC) Ramgarh organized an awareness programme on HIV/AIDS, to educate the community on HIV prevention, treatment, and the importance of reducing stigma against those living with HIV. The highlight of the event was the formation of a human chain in the shape of a crossed red ribbon symbol, where students held red balloons to symbolize unity in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra. The programme was coordinated by Prof. Sandeep Kumari, the convenor of the Red Ribbon Club along with the support of other members including Prof. Brham Dutt, Dr. Shivali Panjgotra, Priya Sharma, Dr. Susheel Kumar, Dr. Neeraj and Mr. Darpan Malhotra.
An interactive talk was also delivered by Prof. Sandeep Kumari, to educate the students about AIDS, its protective measures and the critical role that each individual plays in protecting themselves and others. She encouraged the students to act as ambassadors to remove the stigmas related to HIV/AIDS from the society.
