RAMBAN: The ten-day-long Inter-District UT Level Chess Championship, organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports (DYSS), concluded today at Batote with Jammu district dominating the event by winning the Under-17 and Under-19 titles in both the Boys' and Girls' categories. Kathua secured the title in the Under-14 Boys' category, while Doda triumphed in the Under-14 Girls' category.

Participants from 19 districts across Jammu & Kashmir UT competed in the championship, which featured boys and girls in the Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 categories. The winners of this championship will now represent J&K UT in the upcoming National Chess Competition. The championship culminated with a prize distribution ceremony, where the District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Ramban Jagdish Raj Sharma presented the awards to the winning teams and individual performers.
