JAMMU: Queens Aerobics World, Janipur, Jammu, celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm, bringing together participants from different age groups for a vibrant display of yoga performances followed by a grand medal and felicitation ceremony.
The event was graced by Special Guests Pradyuman Singh Incharge BJP South Jammu and Ravish Mengi, General Secretary District North Jammu who appreciated the organisation’s efforts in promoting health, wellness, and the Fit India Movement across the region. They encouraged continued community participation in yoga and fitness activities.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Neeti Kaur International Master Player & General Secretary J&K Masters Games Association and hosted by Mamta Bajaj Vice President of J&K Masters Games Association. Both leaders played a key role in ensuring smooth coordination and active participation throughout the event.
A highlight of the celebration was the medal distribution recognising outstanding performances. Gold medals were awarded to Dr. Sonia Chib, Dr. Liza, Rashi, Anju, Radha, Anita, Jyoti, Deepu, Raveesh Mengi, Adv. Chander Manhas, Anil Parihar, Ramesh, Sanjay Bhat, and Rajinder. Silver medals went to Sonali, Kanika, Madhu, Mahvish, Nandini, Alka, Yasmeen, Ramesh Sawhney, Sonu, Kamal, and Sameer, while bronze medals were awarded to Savita, Ruchi, Sandy, Muntah, Iqbal, Mariam, and Annu. Master Samrat Parihar received a special performance award.
Founder Neeti Kaur expressed gratitude to all guests, participants, and organisers, acknowledging the support of Mamta Bajaj, Renu, Krishna, and Upasana. She highlighted that yoga should be embraced as a daily lifestyle practice to strengthen physical and mental well-being and support the broader Fit India vision.
The celebration reflected the growing awareness of yoga as a holistic approach to health, promoting flexibility, strength, stress management, and overall wellness among participants ranging from children to adults.
