KATRA: Two NCC cadets from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Cadet Sanjana and Cadet Diksha, successfully participated in a Special Adventure Mountaineering Course conducted at Sanasar.
The course aimed to develop adventure spirit, leadership qualities, self-confidence, and endurance among NCC cadets. During the training, the cadets engaged in a variety of mountaineering and adventure activities, including an introduction to mountaineering equipment, rope knots and hitches, rope coiling, climbing principles, zip lining, stream crossing, tent pitching, survival techniques, and jumaring.
They also attended informative lectures covering various aspects of mountaineering, safety procedures, and outdoor survival. The course provided hands-on exposure to mountain adventure training, helping the cadets enhance their physical fitness, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities in challenging environments. The university administration and the NCC unit congratulated Cadet Sanjana and Cadet Diksha for completing the course and bringing acclaim to the institution.
