JAMMU: As part of its continuous efforts to promote the health and well-being of its residents, Home for the Aged & Infirm (Vridh Ashram), Amphalla, Jammu organized a week-long Yoga Therapy and Healthy Ageing Camp from 15th to 21st June 2026.

The camp was conducted on a voluntary basis by Dr. Amit Dada and Ms. Vanita Srivastava, Founders of Magnetic Yoga Pratyahara Therapy Centre, Varanasi, who travelled specially from Varanasi to serve and support the elderly residents of the Home. During the programme, inmates actively participated in therapeutic yoga, pranayama, meditation, and relaxation sessions designed to enhance physical fitness, mental well-being, and overall quality of life.

The residents greatly benefited from the sessions and expressed their appreciation for the warmth, dedication, and expertise of the visiting yoga therapists. The programme concluded on International Day of Yoga 2026, adding special significance to the week-long initiative.

The Management of the Home expressed heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Amit Dada and Ms. Vanita Srivastava for their noble gesture and valuable contribution towards the welfare of senior citizens. The concluding session was attended by Er. Pankaj Gupta, President; Dr. Dinesh Gupta, Secretary; Managing Committee Members Shri Rajinder Singh and Shri Sat Pal Sharma; and Shri Raghav Gupta.
