BARAMULLA: A condolence meeting was held today at the District Court Complex, Baramulla, under the chairmanship of the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Baramulla, to mourn the sad demise of Smt. Shakti Devi, revered mother of Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and Executive Chairman, J&K Legal Services Authority, who passed away on June 20, 2026.
The meeting was attended by all Judicial Officers, officials posted at the District Court Complex, Baramulla, and members of the Bar. The participants expressed profound grief and sorrow over the irreparable loss suffered by the bereaved family and conveyed their heartfelt condolences.
On the occasion, rich tributes were paid to the departed soul, remembering her life and values. The gathering observed a moment of silence and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul. The participants also prayed for strength, courage and fortitude for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with patience and resilience.
