JAMMU: Dr Narinder Singh, MLA from RS Pura-Jammu South Constituency along with Baldev Singh Billawaria, former Deputy Mayor Jammu kick started the development works worth Rs 24 lakh in Ward No. 56 Gangyal. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Narinder Singh said that most of this ward 56, Gangyal was in bad condition earlier and it was very difficult to develop it but due to the efforts of former Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria, now this ward is the cleanest in terms of cleanliness and development can be seen all around here.
The MLA said that Ward No. 56 Gangyal is one of the most developed wards of Jammu city. He said that Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) is doing commendable work to develop each and every corner of the urban area. Dr Narinder Singh said that many exemplary measures have been taken to improve the living standards of the people in the area and for this purpose Modi Government has provided funds under various developments to develop each and every corner in a better way.
He said that the first priority is being given to the provision of adequate drinking water, water facilities, better electricity, medical facilities and basic amenities along with better lanes and drains to the people. He said that BJP is the only party which believes in ensuring holistic development of every area and the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi works on the basic mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas”.
Dr Narinder Singh thanked the people of Gangyal for voting in large numbers for the BJP in the Assembly elections and said that he will always be grateful for the love the people of Gangyal have given him. Welcoming the newly elected MLA Dr Narinder Singh to Ward 56 Gangyal, former Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria said that the newly elected MLA will soon solve other development related problems in the area. Highlighting the achievements of Ward 56 Gangyal, former Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria said that Ward 56 Gangyal has made a lot of progress towards development in the area. Roads, installation of new transformers, replacement of old drinking water pipes, construction of Atal Ji Park Gangyal, construction of 50-bed Gangyal Hospital, construction of deep drains and other works were given priority and it is the result of that that crores of rupees have been spent in the ward, which has brought a big change towards modernisation in every aspect of Gangyal.
Billawaria said that during his Deputy Mayor Jammu tenure, he tried to get development works done in every ward of Jammu city so that development could be provided to the people at their doorsteps. Speaking on the occasion, District President Rekha Mahajan urged the party workers to give more momentum to the membership drive campaign and connect more and more people to the party.
The local people expressed their gratitude to the newly elected MLA Dr Narinder Singh and former Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria for carrying out development work in the area. Mandal President Ranjeet Singh, Rakesh Sangral, Ajay Partap Singh, Raj Kumar, Sohan Singh Katal, Suresh Motan, Uttam Chib, Yash Raj, Suresh Mishra & other dignitaries were also present.
