JAMMU: The State Central Labour Union President, JKNC, Mr. Nar Singh, along with Mr. Deep Mehra Provincial Secretary Labour Wing, Mr Karan Singh Senior Vice President Labour Wing, visited the Hindustan Pencil Factory at Toph Sherkhania, Jammu today, which was recently affected by a fire under suspicious circumstances. The workers of the factory have been staging a sit-in protest for several days, demanding resettlement and employment at the Bari Brahmana Pencil Factory, Jammu, following the incident.

Addressing the workers, Mr. Nar Singh assured them that their genuine demands for resettlement and job security would be taken up with the concerned authorities. He further stated that the matter would be brought to the notice of the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Jenab Surinder Choudhary, to ensure timely relief and restoration of livelihood for the affected workers. Mr. Nar Singh emphasized the importance of safeguarding the interests of the workers and assured full support from the union in resolving the issue at the earliest.
