CHANDIGARH: The Aryans Institute of Nursing, Rajpura Near Chandigarh organized an International Conference on “Smart Healthcare Integrating AI in Infection Control for Nursing & Paramedical Professionals” under the guidance of Chief Patron Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges. Hundreds of Aryans Healthcare students including Nursing, Paramedical, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy attended the Conference
The conference featured eminent speakers from leading healthcare institutions, including Dr. Supreet Kaur (Clinical Manager – Primary Care Network, Canada), Dr. Navneet Arora (Paras Hospital, Panchkula; Ex Senior Resident, PGIMER Chandigarh), Dr. Sushma Kumari Saini (National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER Chandigarh), Manju Sharma (Neelam Hospital), Dr. Narinder Kaur Walia (AIIMS Bathinda), Dr. Arun Kumar Jindal (Principal, Nursing Institution), Prof. Jaspreet Kaur Sodhi (Government College of Nursing, Patiala), Ms. Sneha Varghese (Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, New Chandigarh), and Dr. Rashmi (Advanced Eye Centre, Sohana Hospital), who shared their expertise and practical insights with the participants. The conference was convened by Dr. Garima Thakur, Deputy Director, with Mrs. Nidhi Chopra, Principal, as Co-ordinator and Dr. Guramrit Gill, Vice-Principal, as Co-coordinator.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Anshu Kataria stated that such academic initiatives play a vital role in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. He emphasized the importance of continuous learning, innovation, and industry-academia collaboration in strengthening the healthcare ecosystem and preparing students for future challenges.
Dr. Sushma Kumari Saini highlighted the growing significance of quality nursing education and research-driven practices. She stressed that well-trained nursing professionals are the backbone of the healthcare system and called for continuous skill enhancement and academic excellence.
Dr. Arun Kumar Jindal underlined the importance of academic leadership and institutional responsibility in shaping competent healthcare professionals. He encouraged students to focus on discipline, ethics, and lifelong learning to excel in their careers.
Prof. Jaspreet Kaur Sodhi emphasized the need for practical exposure and hands-on training in nursing education. She noted that integrating modern teaching methodologies with clinical practice is essential to meet the evolving demands of the healthcare sector.
Manju Sharma shared her insights on hospital administration and patient care management, highlighting the importance of empathy, efficiency, and teamwork in delivering quality healthcare services.
