RAMBAN: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Ramban today conducted a special enforcement drive in Ramban town and the Gool–Sangaldan–Tatapani area. During the operation, the MVD team checked more than 150 vehicles , of which 27 vehicles were e-challaned for violation of different provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and Rules. The challens are expected to realize a penalty amount of Rs 1,23,700.
Additionally, 8 driving licenses were recommended for suspension for serious violations, while 8 vehicles were seized under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. The team advised the motorists and commercial vehicle drivers to strictly follow traffic rules and regulations, carry valid documents and ensure the roadworthiness of their vehicles.
