• On-the-spot services provided for ration cards, labour benefits; residents laud initiative

JAMMU: A welfare camp was organised by Shiv Sena Hindustan at Purkhoo Camp under the chairmanship of Jammu and Kashmir President Pandit Rajesh Kesari, aimed at ensuring that benefits of Central Government schemes reach the grassroots level.

The camp witnessed active participation from local residents, especially economically weaker sections, who availed various services without the need to visit government offices multiple times. During the camp, several issues related to ration cards were resolved on the spot, including correction of details, addition of new members, and rectification of errors in names. Assistance was also provided for labour cards and awareness about various welfare schemes introduced by the Government of India.

Organisers stated that the initiative was taken to reduce the hardships faced by poor people who often find it difficult to make repeated visits to government offices. ā€œThese camps are meant to bring governance to the doorstep of the people, especially those who cannot afford time and resources to navigate bureaucratic procedures,ā€ said representatives at the event.

A large number of beneficiaries expressed satisfaction, stating that they received services conveniently within their locality. They appreciated the efforts of the organisation for simplifying access to essential documentation and government schemes. Residents also extended their gratitude to both Shiv Sena Hindustan and the Central Government for making such facilities accessible.

Addressing the gathering, Kesri urged people, particularly the youth, to stay away from drug abuse and focus on education. He emphasized that education is the key to building a strong future and helps in keeping individuals away from social evils. ā€œAn educated child contributes positively to society and plays a vital role in nation-building,ā€ he remarked, highlighting the importance of instilling patriotism and responsibility among the younger generation.

Kesri also assured that similar camps would be organised again to cover those who could not avail benefits this time, reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to public welfare. The event also saw the blessings and participation of elderly residents, adding to the community spirit of the initiative. Prominent present members included Border Pradhan Sanjeev Sharma, Raj Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Hari Kumar, Saurabh Kumar, Balwant Fauji, Anu Devi, Darshana Devi, Mohini Devi, along with dozens of Shiv Sainiks who actively contributed to the success of the camp.
