JAMMU: Sushil Singh Charak, Founder and General Secretary Nations Development Association (NDA), affiliated with MY Bharat (NYKS) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, briefed the media about the upcoming Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, set to be held in New Delhi on January 11th and 12th, 2025. The event is a restructured version of the National Youth Festival, traditionally held to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on January 12th.
This year, the National Youth Festival will be rebranded as the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue and will take place at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event will be graced by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, marking a significant milestone in engaging youth in the country's development.
Sushil Singh Charak highlighted that global and national icons would interact with the youth through dialogues and workshops, providing them with the opportunity to exchange ideas, gain insights, and learn directly from inspiring personalities. A key feature of this reimagined festival is the Viksit Bharat Challenge, a four-stage competition designed to encourage youth engagement in shaping India's future.
The event invites youth aged 15 to 29 to participate and present their innovative ideas. Round 1 and Round 2 of the competition will be hosted online through the MY Bharat Platform https://mybharat.gov.in/ with Round 1 commencing on November 25, 2024.
Charak urged the youth to participate in large numbers to ensure the success of this national event, which will serve as a platform to inspire and empower the young generation to contribute to building a Viksit Bharat.
