RAJOURI: Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Vikramjit Singh today visited Vibrant Village Lohrakote of Rajouri district and reviewed the implementation of developmental initiatives aimed at strengthening infrastructure, connectivity and livelihood opportunities in the border village under the Vibrant Villages Programme.
The Commissioner Secretary was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma; ADC Sunderbani Ramkesh Sharma; CPO Maqsood Ahmed; DDE Mohd Nawaz; besides district and sectoral officers from various departments.
During the visit, Commissioner Secretary interacted with local residents and took detailed feedback regarding developmental needs and ongoing interventions in the village. He emphasized that the Government is committed to ensuring focused and sustainable development of border villages through coordinated efforts of all concerned departments.
Addressing the gathering, the Commissioner Secretary highlighted that special emphasis is being laid on improving road connectivity, power infrastructure, internet services and television connectivity in remote border areas. He said that the Vibrant Villages Programme aims to transform border villages into well-connected, self-reliant and economically empowered communities.
On the occasion, Vikramjit Singh also distributed sanction letters among beneficiaries under Mission YUVA and encouraged young entrepreneurs to utilize the available government support for establishing sustainable self-employment ventures. He urged the beneficiaries to make effective use of the assistance and contribute towards local economic growth.
The Commissioner Secretary also reviewed the functioning of various departments and directed the officers to ensure timely completion of developmental projects and ensure effective implementation of welfare schemes for maximum public benefit.
