NEW DELHI/VARANASI: The Centre for NaMo Studies (CNMS) Bharat and the AITM Foundation for Incubation and Entrepreneurship (AFIE), Ashoka Institute of Technology and Management, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in the fields of research, innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability, Indian Knowledge Systems, publications and community engagement.
The MoU was signed with the objective of creating a collaborative platform for academic excellence, knowledge creation, policy research, capacity building and innovation-driven development. The partnership will facilitate joint research projects, publications, conferences, seminars, workshops, internships, fellowship programmes, entrepreneurship initiatives and outreach activities.
Prof. Jasim Mohammad, Founder and Managing Trustee, Centre for NaMo Studies (CNMS), stated, "This partnership reflects our shared commitment to creating knowledge-based solutions for national development. Through this collaboration, CNMS and AFIE will work together to promote research, innovation, entrepreneurship and intellectual engagement that contribute to the vision of a Viksit Bharat. We believe that institutions must come together to create meaningful academic and societal impact."
He further added, "The collaboration will provide an important platform for scholars, students, innovators and policy practitioners to engage in interdisciplinary research and nation-building initiatives. It is through such partnerships that ideas can be transformed into actionable outcomes for society."
On behalf of AFIE, Dr. Aparna Singh welcomed the partnership and stated, “AFIE is delighted to collaborate with the Centre for NaMo Studies. This MoU will strengthen our efforts to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and research-based initiatives. We aim to create meaningful opportunities for students, researchers, startups, and innovators to contribute to India's development journey and foster a culture of knowledge-driven growth and innovation.”
Under the MoU, both institutions will jointly undertake research projects, publications, policy papers, seminars, workshops, conferences, sustainability initiatives, Indian Knowledge Systems programmes, startup ecosystem development activities, capacity-building programmes and community outreach projects.
