- Built on the experiment-led universe of Crazy XYZ, the app transforms curiosity into daily challenges and competitive experiences, surpassing 400,000 downloads and entering Google Play’s Top 30 Education apps within a week of launch.
DELHI: Amit Kumar Sharma, an IIT Roorkee graduate and the creator of Crazy XYZ—one of India’s largest science and experimentation content platforms—has launched Crazinos, a skill-gaming app designed for the next generation of young Indians. The platform transforms the curiosity, experiments, and challenges that have made Crazy XYZ a household name into an engaging daily gaming experience centered around competition, learning, and discovery.
Crazinos was co-founded in 2025 by Amit Sharma and Gaurav Gularia, former Chief of Staff at Physics Wallah, one of India’s leading edtech companies founded by Alakh Pandey.
Turning Curiosity into Competition
Positioned at the intersection of gaming, curiosity, and participation, Crazinos reimagines the spirit of Crazy XYZ’s experiments, puzzles, brain teasers, and “how does this work?” challenges in a fast-paced, interactive format. Rather than focusing on traditional academic instruction, the app encourages users to engage with skill-based challenges, compete in tournaments, climb leaderboards, and test their abilities against peers from across the country.
The experience begins with an edutainment-style challenge that sparks curiosity, followed by gameplay that quietly develops essential competencies such as logical reasoning, observation, spatial intelligence, creativity, and problem-solving. This approach reflects the broader shift in Indian education, as emphasized by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which advocates for competency-based learning and curiosity-driven exploration over rote memorization.
From STEM Kits to a Digital Ecosystem
The Crazinos journey began in June 2025 with a range of STEM kits, smart toys, and puzzles inspired by the experiment-driven content that helped build the Crazy XYZ community. With the launch of the app, the brand is extending that same philosophy into a digital-first experience, enabling young users to play, compete, and discover their strengths anytime and anywhere.
The physical product line—including STEM kits and smart toys—continues to expand alongside the app, forming part of a broader ecosystem aimed at making learning more interactive, engaging, and participatory.
Rapid Early Growth
According to the company, Crazinos has already crossed 400,000 downloads and attracted more than 260,000 registered users, with participants actively engaging in skill-based challenges and tournaments.
The app has also entered the Top 30 of Google Play Store’s Education category, reaching #28 on the Trending Top Charts, while maintaining a user rating of 4.7 stars and above.
Founder’s Perspective
“For years, I’ve seen millions of young people light up around experiments, challenges, and the simple question of how things work. We first put that curiosity into their hands through STEM kits and smart toys. Crazinos, the app, is the natural next step—a place where that same energy becomes a game they can play, enjoy, and compete in every day.”
