PULWAMA: Continuing its sustained drive against illegal mining and unauthorized extraction of minerals, J&K Police in Pulwama has registered a case regarding illegal excavation at Puchal near Dairy Farm.
Acting on reliable information, Police Station Pulwama received inputs that an L&T machine was being used for unauthorized excavation, causing damage to government land. The excavated material was being loaded into a tipper and transported without any lawful authority or permission. Acting promptly, a police party reached the spot and seized the L&T machine and tipper involved in the illegal activity. Accordingly, Case FIR No. 103/2026 under Section 303(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 3 of the PPD Act has been registered and investigation has been set into motion.
Police remains committed to taking strict action against illegal mining and damage to public property and appeals to the general public to share information regarding such unlawful activities.
