DODA: Acting on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Krishan Lal, the Department of Geology and Mining Doda, conducted a major enforcement drive against illegal mining activities in Sub-Division Gandoh. The operation was carried out under the supervision of District Mineral Officer (DMO) Sunil Kumar Manhas as part of the district administration's ongoing efforts to curb unauthorized extraction and transportation of minor minerals.
During the inspection and checking drive, the enforcement team intercepted and seized two Trolleys found involved in the illegal transportation of minor minerals in violation of mining regulations. The action was taken following strict verification of the vehicles and the material being transported without the requisite permissions. A total penalty of â‚ą21,535 was imposed on the violators under the relevant provisions of the mining laws. The seized Trolleys were subsequently handed over to the concerned Police Post for safe custody and further legal proceedings.
