BARAMULLA: As part of the observance of World Environment Week, Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Mangam Wagoora organised a cleanliness drive and awareness programme at Shrunz Fall, a prominent tourist destination, with the active participation of students and staff.

During the cleanliness drive, students and staff members collected waste material from the tourist spot and contributed towards maintaining the cleanliness and natural beauty of the area. The initiative aimed to spread awareness among visitors and the local community about the importance of protecting the environment and preserving tourist destinations.

On the occasion, Lecturer Bilal Ahmad addressed the students and highlighted the significance of environmental conservation. He stressed the need for responsible behaviour, proper waste disposal and collective efforts to keep natural places clean and pollution-free.

The programme encouraged students to become ambassadors of environmental protection and motivated them to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. The school appreciated the participation of students and staff and reiterated its commitment towards promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices.
