JAMMU: JKBOSE has strongly contested a news report published in a section of press regarding shortage of free textbooks in government schools of winter zone areas of Jammu Division, which have opened after winter break on March 7, 2025.

In a statement issued here today, the Board has clarified that 50% books have been distributed among the Zonal Education Heads of Jammu winter zone. The remaining textbooks are in transit and shall be distributed shortly. In addition, the school education department has a stock of retrieved books, which too are under distribution to ensure the timely availability of books.
