• Initiative aimed to equip grassroots-level workers about objectives of the scheme

BUDGAM: A capacity-building programme to sensitize and empower grassroots-level workers about the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative concluded today at the Conference Hall of the District Social Welfare Office, Budgam.

The event, organized by SANKALP Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mission Shakti Budgam, aimed to raise awareness among female police officials, PLVs (Para Legal Volunteers), supervisors, teachers, anganwadi workers (AWWs), ASHA workers, and community mobilizers from NRLM (National Rural Livelihood Mission), about the objectives of the scheme.

The participants were also made aware of various women-centric welfare schemes designed to promote and support women's empowerment at the community level. Expert resource persons from Kashmir University and other line departments shared their insights to enhance the knowledge and capabilities of the attendees, equipping them with practical approaches to drive change and uplift women in their respective areas.

The programme concluded with a call to action for the participants to become catalysts of change by spreading awareness and ensuring the effective implementation of women empowerment initiatives in their communities.
