POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal on Monday undertook a comprehensive inspection of the Jal Shakti Water Supply Station Poonch town and Kamsar, focusing on the functionality of water distribution systems and the provision of clean drinking water to residents. During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner evaluated the operational status of pipes and service reservoirs (SR Tanks), stressing the importance of delivering water directly to every household in the region.

This initiative aligns with the ongoing efforts under the Jal Jeevan Mission, aimed at ensuring that all drinking water adheres to essential safety standards. The Executive Engineer of Jal Shakti provided the Deputy Commissioner with a detailed briefing on the status of water service schemes in the region, including the number of households receiving tap water.

Following the briefing, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for a continuous, round-the-clock water supply. He instructed the Executive Engineer to ensure that there are no complaints or concerns from the public regarding water availability.
