KULGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today flagged-off a group of 30 Sericulture farmers from the mini-secretariat Kulgam for an exposure tour to the Central Sericultural Research & Training Institute (CSR&TI) Pampore.

This exposure visit is part of the Silksamagra initiative aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of local farmers. The tour is designed to provide farmers with first-hand experience of advanced sericulture practices and innovations.

By visiting CSR&TI Pampore, the farmers will gain valuable insights into modern techniques and strategies that can be implemented in their own sericulture activities to improve productivity and sustainability.

It was shared that such initiatives are empowering farmers with the necessary tools and knowledge to boost the sericulture sector in the region and for bridging the gap between traditional practices and modern advancements, ensuring that local farmers remain competitive and prosperous.
