UDHAMPUR: To review the progress achieved in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban scheme, a meeting was convened under the chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, here in the Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex. The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Prem Singh; Chief Executive Officer, Municipality Rajinder Digra and senior officers from line departments.
The DC assessed the town-wise registration status under the PMAY-U scheme and directed the concerned authorities to organize special camps in all three Municipalities of the district. She emphasized the need to prepare a comprehensive list of landless individuals in urban areas to ensure they are included as beneficiaries under the scheme.
The DC directed the officers to ensure advance financial mobilization for non-starters and complete all pending houses within the stipulated time frame. She urged the concerned departments to strictly adhere to the scheme guidelines and maintain a transparent and accountable process for the benefit of the local people.
