SAMBA: As per the Action plan for the month of July, 2024 issued by Jammu & Kashmir Legal Services Authority and also under the guidance of Adnan Sayeed, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority and Pr. District and Sessions Judge, Samba, District Legal Services Authority, Samba today organized a legal awareness program on “Domestic Violence and Inheritance Rights” at Government Higher Secondary School Ghagwal, Samba, wherein Shivali Sharma, Newly Selected Civil Judge(Junior Division) was the resource person who shared her expertise.
The core mission of the awareness programme under District Legal Services Authority, Samba was to provide legal awareness to the students with respect to the different provisions of both the Protection of women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 and Hindu Succession Amendment Act, 1955 along with its Amendments.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Versha Anthal, Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel Samba. The program was attended by students, faculty members of Government Higher Secondary School Ghagwal Samba and Para Legal Volunteers of District Legal Services Authority Samba.
