SRINAGAR: Police in Sopore have booked a notorious drug peddler under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority. The notorious drug peddler namely Muzafar Ahmad Marazi son of Mohammad Akbar Marazi resident of Sofi Hamam Sopore have been booked under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority. He has been taken into custody and is now being held in the District Jail Udhampur.
Pertinent to mention here that, many cases are registered against the said drug peddler and he was still involved in drug peddling by supplying drugs to the local youth of the Police District Sopore. The general public of Sopore have appreciated the role played by the Police in taking action against drug smugglers/peddlers. Police is committed to take strict actions against such criminals as per the law.
