Police seizes vehicle in hit-and-run case in Handwara

HANDWARA: Police in Handwara seized a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run case that took place on 03/09/2025 at Yaroo, in which a minor child was injured after being hit by an unknown vehicle. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 203/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Handwara and investigation was initiated.

During the investigation, Police worked meticulously on the available leads and, through sustained efforts and use of technical evidence, managed to identify and trace the vehicle involved in the accident. The said vehicle bearing registration number JK05J-2760 has been seized. Further investigation in the case is going on.
