REASI: Senior BJP leader and former party president Ravinder Raina today visited Village Badder in Gulabgarh, Reasi district, to express his heartfelt condolences to the family of Nazir Ahmed, his wife Wazira Begum and their five children, who tragically lost their lives after being buried under debris in a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall.

Braving the difficult terrain, Raina travelled to one of the remotest areas of Reasi to personally meet the bereaved family members. Raina shared their immense grief and assured them of full support from the party and administration in this tragic hour. “This is an irreparable loss and words are not enough to console the family. We stand shoulder to shoulder with them in this moment of pain,” Raina said while consoling the relatives.

The BJP leader also urged the administration to extend immediate relief measures and adequate financial assistance to the affected family. “The government must take steps to ensure the safety of people living in landslide-prone hilly regions of Jammu and Kashmir, especially during the ongoing monsoon season,” Raina said.

Raina was accompanied by a team of party leaders including BJP senior leaders Omi Khajuria, S. Pardeep Singh, Capt. Sukhdev Singh, Akram Choudhayr, Adv. Anil Sharma, BJYM leader Amit Singh Rajput, Mandal Presidents Chamail Singh and Ch. Waqar Hussain, Bansi Lal, ST Morcha Distt. President Rafiq Choudhary, Adv.
