KATHUA: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Seh-Prabhari of District Kathua, Sanjay Kumar Baru, addressed a meeting of senior party functionaries to review the preparations for the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ programmes, which will commence tomorrow, September 17, on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday at Kathua.
The meeting was presided over by District BJP President Updesh Andotra and attended by District Seva Sankalp Abhiyan Incharge Rajesh Mehta, District General Secretaries Gagan Singh and Ravindra Sharma, former District President Raghunandan Singh, Prem Dogra and all district conveners associated with the programmes.
Sanjay Kumar Baru stressed that the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan should reflect the BJP’s commitment to public service and grassroots connect. He said that the programmes commencing tomorrow provide an opportunity for party workers to take the spirit of seva to every section of society and ensure meaningful engagement with the people. He called upon the district functionaries to organize every activity with dedication, discipline and proper coordination, while ensuring that the programmes reach the grassroots effectively.
Baru said that the success of the month-long campaign would depend on its effective implementation at the organizational and grassroots levels. He directed the programme conveners and other functionaries to maintain close coordination with mandal and booth-level teams, ensure maximum public participation and personally monitor the arrangements. He also reviewed the preparedness of various programme teams and took detailed feedback regarding the responsibilities assigned to them.
Updesh Andotra, in her presidential address, called upon all party functionaries to ensure the effective and successful execution of every programme under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. She emphasized that every worker should discharge the assigned responsibility with dedication, discipline and a spirit of service. Rajesh Mehta discussed the details of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan programmes to be organized in the district from 17 September to 17 October.
