JAMMU: Sanjita Dogra, General Secretary of the Jammu & Kashmir BJP, led a relief distribution drive in Suanjana, a flood-affected area under the Falaein Mandaal. Accompanied by Amarjit Kour, Mandal President, the team distributed essential items including stitched clothes and food items to families who have been severely impacted by the recent heavy rains and flooding in the region.

The relief effort was organized in response to the widespread damage caused by the recent spell of torrential rains, which disrupted normal life and left several families in distress. Recognizing the urgent need for on-ground support, Sanjita Dogra and her team took swift action to provide immediate assistance to those affected.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanjita Dogra emphasized the BJP’s commitment to standing with the people in times of crisis. She said that this is a humanitarian duty gor all of us. In difficult times, we must all come together to help our fellow citizens. The BJP is committed to ensuring that no family feels alone in the face of adversity, she said.

Amarjit Kour also highlighted the importance of community-driven efforts in disaster response, stating that their focus is on reaching every household that needs support. We will continue our outreach and work with local volunteers to identify and serve those in need, she added.

Several other BJP leaders and local party workers also joined the initiative and contributed to the relief efforts. Senior leaders Vaishno Devi, Seema Soni, Bunty Sharma, Omkar Bhagat, and Sham Lal Bhagat were present during the distribution drive, extending their support and personally interacting with the affected families.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the timely assistance, particularly as many of them have lost access to basic amenities and livelihoods due to the floods. The party leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continuing such efforts until normalcy is restored.
