BANDIPORA: SANKALP Hub for Empowerment of Women (HEW) Mission Shakti, Social Welfare department Bandipora, in collaboration with Polytechnic College Bandipora, today organized a comprehensive workshop on skill development, entrepreneurship, and access to welfare schemes. The program aimed at equipping students, particularly girls, with knowledge about government initiatives that support self-employment, business incubation, and financial assistance.

As part of the initiative, a Photo Booth was installed for girls pursuing higher education, encouraging them to celebrate their academic journey, take selfies, and spread awareness about women’s empowerment and education through social media. Principal, Polytechnic College Bandipora, Hakim Javaid, addressed the gathering and emphasized the crucial role of technical education in empowering students for future challenges and opportunities and importance of these collaborative programs.

On the occasion, District Mission Coordinator (DMC), SANKALP-HEW, underlined how Mission Shakti services can guide students toward employment and entrepreneurship through skill development and linkage with relevant schemes.  Gender Specialist, sensitized students on gender equity and elaborated on various welfare schemes aimed at women’s empowerment. The event also featured interactive discussions where students actively engaged with officials, seeking guidance on skill-building, financial literacy, and starting their own ventures.
