JAMMU: Transport Commissioner J&K Vishesh Paul Mahajan visited ARTO office Udhampur and took a brief overview of its functioning and reviewed the status of the services being provided to the public. The Transport Commissioner directed the staff to ensure delivery of the services to the general public in an efficient and transparent manner.

The ARTO Udhampur was directed to increase the enforcement activities in the district to curb traffic violations to minimize road accidents and save precious human lives. Later, the Transport Commissioner convened a meeting with the delegations of Transport unions where the issues projected by them were discussed.  The Transport Commissioner assured early resolution of the grievances. The transporters also assured that they will extend all necessary cooperation to the department.
