DODA: In a significant step towards environmental conservation, a plantation drive was today conducted along the Doda-Ghat road in presence of Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh. The initiative was organised by the Forest Department in collaboration with Professor (Retd) Zahir Abbas Hashmi- a well-known social activist.

The event witnessed active participation from several dignitaries, including DDC Member, Advocate Asim Hashmi, DFO Doda, and other Officers and officials. The Deputy Commissioner Doda emphasized the importance of afforestation in combating climate change and enhancing the region’s green cover. He also encouraged citizens to contribute towards such environmental conservation initiatives.

The plantation drive aimed to promote ecological balance and raise awareness about the significance of tree plantation in maintaining biodiversity. The Forest Department provided saplings and technical support for the event.
