SRINAGAR: On the auspicious eve of Maha Shivratri, Mufti Nasir Ul Islam Farooqi, Grand Mufti of Jammu & Kashmir and Chairman of the Muslim Personal Law Board J&K, extends his heartfelt greetings to our Kashmiri Pandit brethren and the entire Hindu community.

He stated that Maha Shivratri is not only a sacred spiritual occasion but also a living symbol of Kashmir’s centuries-old tradition of brotherhood, mutual respect and shared heritage.

The festival reminds us of the essence of Kashmiriyat, a culture rooted in compassion, coexistence and collective harmony. He emphasized that our shared history teaches us to stand together in times of joy and adversity alike, preserving the pluralistic ethos that defines our land.
