KULGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today distributed 10 tents and PP sheets among chopans at mini-secretariat Kulgam under the HADP scheme. The effort is aimed to promote sheep husbandry and provide necessary infrastructure to the local community.
It was informed by the District Sheep Husbandry Officer that so far, the district sheep husbandry organization has established 59 commercial units, 02 RAD units, 01CFC wool, 01 FPO and 04 subcomponents of CFC Mutton unit in Kulgam.
In addition to the distribution of tents and PP sheets, the organization has also constructed 01 kotha/Doka and 01 prefab hut under HADP. Furthermore, 309 seed kits have been distributed among 309 breeders in the district, aimed at improving the quality of livestock and increasing productivity.
