UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai chaired a meeting with Krishi Udyamis managing Kisan Khidmat Ghars to review their functioning and progress. The meeting was attended by Chief Agriculture Officer Sanjay Anand and several Krishi Udyamis from across the district. The DC assessed the operational status of Kisan Khidmat Ghars and inquired about the challenges faced by Krishi Udyamis in operating these centers. She emphasized the importance of addressing the bottlenecks to ensure the smooth functioning of KKGs and enhance their reach and impact on the farming community.
To strengthen the role of KKGs in supporting agriculture, the DC directed the concerned to conduct extensive outreach programs to promote the services offered by these centers. She encouraged them to work proactively to expand the business potential of KKGs. She further stressed the importance of forming partnerships with cooperatives for the procurement of essential agricultural inputs like seeds, fertilizers and pesticides on a credit basis.
