- Chairs meeting with HOIs of recognised private educational Institutions
SHOPIAN: A meeting of leading recognized private educational institutions of the district was convened today by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar at Mini- Secretariat Shopian. During the meeting a detailed discussion was held about the various issues concerning the functioning of these educational institutions.
Standing rules set by the Government on matters of admission, tuition fee, annual charges, provision of basic facilities to the students, etc were discussed with the heads of the institutions wherein the DC conveyed directions for strict adherence to the norms for the welfare of students. The DC directed all private schools that no admission fee is charged at all from students, failing which strict and stern action will be initiated against the violators.
He emphasized the critical role of these educational institutions in bridging learning gaps and urged them to work diligently towards academic excellence. The DC directed the Chief Education Officer for close monitoring over the activities of these educational institutions of the district and reporting of violations. He also stressed for contributing towards the Red Cross and keeping close vigil on students activities and affairs especially in view of the rising epidemic of Drug Abuse. The meeting was attended by ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; ACR, CEO, ZEOs, besides heads of Govt. recognised private institutions of the district.
