SHOPIAN: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar today visited Shopian town and took stock of various ongoing developmental initiatives in the town. The DC visited Children Home, Palaash at Old DC office Shopian and inspected its facilities for the comfort and safe stay of inmates. He interacted with staff and emphasized on the provision of seamless services to inmates. He asked for upgradation of some vital issues requiring resolution including parking and approach road.
The DC also visited the District Library Shopian and took stock of available amenities including internet connectivity, heating arrangements, etc. Later, Shahid also visited District Hospital and other areas of town, and took stock of traffic regulation and parking matters. During the visit, he reviewed the parking problem, and issued directions for going tough against the wrong side parking. The DC was accompanied by ADC, ACR, CEO MC Shopian, DSWO Shopian and other officers and officials.
