SHOPIAN: The District Appropriate Authority Shopian, under the leadership of the CMO Shopian, organized a one-day workshop on the theme ‘Save Girl Child’ at GGHS Zainapora. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of saving the girl child, promoting gender equality, and ensuring the rights and dignity of girls in society.
A large number of students, teachers, and community members participated in the workshop, which featured expert talks on gender sensitivity, the legal framework protecting girls, and the need to eliminate discrimination against them.
To further emphasize the message, a rally was organized in which students and faculty members carried placards and banners advocating for the protection and empowerment of girls. The rally passed through key areas of Zainapora, drawing attention to the cause and encouraging community participation in safeguarding the rights of the girl child.
