JAMMU: Amit Kapoor strongly opposed the cutting of electricity connections of people in Janipur Not even a single widow was spared in the month of Ramzan The widow woman is sitting in darkness for five days Jammu. Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Amit Kapoor strongly opposed the cutting of electricity connections of people in Janipur and said that Janipur is a colony of poor people.
There is no point in cutting the electricity of these people. He gave the example of an old widow woman whose electricity has been cut for the last five days in the month of Ramzan and she is living in darkness while she is fasting during Ramzan. Amit Kapoor said this while addressing a press conference in Jammu. During this time, a widow woman was also present who was fasting and that woman told that there is no earning member in her house and she survives on the pension of one thousand rupees that she gets. She also told that her son died two years ago and now there is no earning member in the house.
Meanwhile, Amit Kapoor has warned the MLAs of Jammu and the department that if the electricity of this woman and other people of Janipur is not restored immediately, then he will protest strongly against it and the government will be completely responsible for the situation arising out of it. Along with this, he said that the previous outstanding electricity bills should also be forgiven to the people.
