POONCH: The Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal today reviewed the progress of various programs including the Holistic Agricultural Development Programme (HADP), Daksh Kissan, CSS Expenditure, and Kisan Credit Card (KCC) initiatives concerning animal and sheep husbandry departments.
The meeting commenced with an insightful briefing by Animal Husbandry & Sheep Husbandry department provided updates on the status of veterinary institutions, applications under HADP, and developments in poultry, dairy farming and sheep farming. The discussion also covered the status of KCC applications, center-sponsored schemes, Daksh Portal, Automatic Milk Collection units, breed based farms, commercial farms and overall achievementsâboth physical and financial under the HADP and other associated schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for concerned officers to expedite the enrollment of farmers to meet the targets set under Daksh Kisan and HADP. He highlighted the importance of translating farmer course videos into local languages, such as Pahari and Gojri, enabling broader access to the benefits of these schemes.
Further, DC directed the officers to maximize eligible beneficiary enrollment for KCC and to enhance overall expenditure. He underscored the potential of the HADP scheme to expand and boost employment in the region. The meeting was attended by key stakeholders including the CAHO, Dr. Younis, DSHO Dr. Basharat Ahmed Ganai, bank representatives and all Veterinary Assistant Surgeons from the Sheep and Animal Husbandry departments.
