JAMMU: Senior leaders of NC, Congress, and PDP from Kashmir region including ex-leader of opposition, and ex chief whip in SMC, state office bearers of these parties joined BJP at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Sat Sharma CA, President, J&K BJP, Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization) and Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister welcomed the senior leaders into party fold.
BJP Spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan, Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Nakul Mattoo Ex Corporator, Aatif Jahangir office Incharge and Sandeep Razdan were also present on the occasion.
Haji Pervez Ahmed Bhat, Ex-Vice Chairman, JKSRTC, Ex-District President, Srinagar, PDP & Ex-State Convenor, Basharat Bin Qadir, Ex-Corporator, Chattabal, Srinagar, Ex-Leader Of Opposition in S.M.C Council, & State Secretary, J&K Congress, Aijaz Rasool Bhat, Ex-Corporator, Budshah Nagar, Srinagar and Ex-Chief Whip, SMC Council, Congress Party, and Faizul Firdous Mallik, NC Youth Leader/Political Activist joined BJP on the occasion.
S. Bhupinder Singh, senior social activist and retired government official also joined BJP. While welcoming the new entrants into the BJP, Sat Sharma said that people have full faith on the Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas policy of Modi government at the Centre.
“Countless Welfare Schemes and initiatives by BJP like Digital India, Make in India, Ujjwala Yojana, PM Kisan Yojana have resulted in socio-economic growth of people in the region. People are seeing BJP as a party with a strong anti-corruption stand and committed to the security of people and the nation's borders”, said Sat Sharma.
The commitment to its policies and report-card of BJP’s previous years has attracted the prominent social personalities and political leaders hailing to different parties. He said that the people are hopeful of a better and a prosperous society with BJP and hence are committing themselves to the ideology and policies of the party. Sharma also expressed confidence that the new entrants will work with full dedication for the welfare of the people in accordance with the policies and ideology of BJP.
Ashok Koul, said that policies of BJP are being hailed and adopted by everybody including in Kashmir region. The way senior and prominent persons from Kashmir are joining the BJP, the party is confident that it will secure a good number of seats in upcoming ULB and Panchayat polls in Kashmir. He congratulated all the senior leaders of other political parties, who along with their supporters have joined the party.
Kavinder Gupta also welcomed the new entrants on the occasion and said that the family of BJP is getting bigger and stronger with every passing day as it has kept itself committed to the public welfare in a consistent manner.
While joining the party, new entrants acknowledged the peace initiatives by the Modi government after they have suffered for 70 years. They expressed confidence in the BJP’s governance for the welfare of Kashmir and its people. They also attacked the NC government for ditching J&K people by taking a U-turn on its poll promises.
